Laws
The new laws pertaining to health precautions are required in the information panel on the labeling of all food items processed at Ultimate Foods. To protect and insure the safety of all our food products that are distributed from our plant, we must list all food allergens and trans-fats that are associated in making your product.  This information must be present on all labels using their common or usual name. This is a requirement by the U.S. Foods and Drug Administration (FDA) Public Law 108-282-Aug 2, 2004. If you have any questions our staff is prepared to assist you in this transition.

Food Allergen Labeling

UPC Bar Codes (Universal Product Code)

Every product in the supermarket has a UPC bar code. UPC bar codes were originally created to help grocery stores speed up the check out process and keep better track of inventory, but the system quickly spread to all other retail products because it was so successful. Ultimate Foods can provide you with bar code service. 

 
 

Label Design
A major consideration will be the label for your product.  Most clients already have a Label and Logo design ready for their products. Ultimate Foods will review your label choice to insure it follows protocol concerning the applicable requirements established by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) concerning labels on food products.   These are the items that must be listed on a food product label: Ingredients, Nutritional Facts, Net Weight, *UPC Number (*Application for UPC Available), Name & Address of Company, Small Description of Product (We can provide a dissertation), Website, Phone Number and/or Email.
